The top performing asset class for 2013 was Foreign Equities with a phenomenal rand denominated return of 56.36%. The return was boosted by depreciation of the currency from just under R/USD 8.50 on 2nd Jan 2013 to just over R/USD 10.5 on 31st December 2013.
The local market delivered a strong 21.43% driven by a strong industrial sector.
